Pony Play (Fri @ 10)
Recommended for the younger children ages 2.5 to 4.
This is a seven week outdoor pony play, designed to give families special one-on-one time with their child and their very own pony.
An instructor will introduce you and your child to a pony that matches in size, and while enjoying the horses at your own comfortable pace, kids will learn and pick up on the important horsie basics. They will get to brush and comb their pony, learn about their little hooves, how to get on and off, and balance in the saddle. Together with your child you will learn basic lead-line skills to take your child on a lovely guided pony rides around the ranch. This is a fantastic introductory class for tiny humans to gain their confidence around these beautiful little equines. Parents also enjoy leading and walk their child and pony over, through and under fun obstacles as we tour the home ranch pastures, visit cows, barn owls and enjoy other seasonal surprises!
Note: Due to the family friendly nature of our program and the shortness of the series our classes DO run during the statutory holidays.
Cost: $325 for 1 adult & 1 child. Have a tiny child that you want to pack along in a snuggy? No problem. The instructor or another qualified handler is also available to book an additional child with an additional pony. Please just register for the appropriate ticket.
Please read our Purchase Agreement & Code of Conduct page prior to registration.
Please download an ‘Acknowledgement & Release Form’ to print out and sign. This needs to accompany your child when you sign in on the first day.
What to wear:
- Dress in layers depending on the forecast and please ensure your child wears long pants or leggings. If chilly, kids in snow pants to keep legs warm in the saddle is the way to go.
- We encourage footwear with a heel, such as wear rubber boots or cowboy boots, however young kids often prefer to cling with their legs rather than use stirrups, and we are ok with that.
- If possible, please wear cowboy boots, or winter boots with a heal and warm socks. No open toed shoes allowed.
- A properly fitted helmet. Please ensure helmets fit and that hair is flat (no braids or ponytails) so that helmet fits snug against the head.
HorsePlay Merchandise can also be pre-ordered and set aside for pick-up!
