Ranch Adventures Camp

Tues to Thurs (9 am to 1 pm) for 2 weeks.

Recommended age: 4 – 8

All takes place on Big Rock Ranch (est. 1885), an active working ranch that has been in the Carr family for 130+ years.

This is a 4 hour a day version of our typical Ranch Adventure program, however, parents get to ‘drop & go’, and each child gets their own pony wrangler instead!  Every morning our ranch kids will help us do morning chores and then help round-up ponies.  Each day kids will spend at least 3 hours with their wrangler and their very own pony.  Wranglers will help each child catch, halter and groom out their hairy little horsies, and aid the instructor in teaching the kids how to tacking up, mounting up on their own, balance and ride.

Wranglers will keep their kids on a lead-line as we leave the main ranch on different adventures each day.  Individually, as kids gain their confidence, the instructor and wranglers will help them learn how to use reins and maybe even ride on their own!

Once mounted, kids spend at least two hours a day in the saddle out on the trail!

Camps run from 9am to 1pm, Tuesday to Thursday for TWO WEEKS:
