Open & Adults Only
Recommended for Juniors (9-14) years and adults!
These ‘Open’ classes are designed to combine level 1 and 2 riders, in order to accommodate those evening and weekday schedules. We teach the same drills but we will give an easy option or a hard option; rider can choose! We will meet you at whatever level you are at.

Our goal is to help you learn all the things, so that you can either continue to ride with us, lease a horse, or better know how to buy your own!

Once its time to mount up we begin learning how to master a walk and a trot as we layer on the technical skills. We ride in various sized pens, throw in a few obstacle challenges until finally everyone is comfortable enough to ride out on various ranch trails. Our trail system has various terrain and as we ride along we do real ranch activities such as checking cattle, counting calves, and enjoying various wildlife and nature as we ride over 500 acres.
Repetition gains confidence and we like to do it outside in the fresh air! Lots of friendships have been built as we help each other open gates and hold horses, change paces as well as views!
Riding tips and instruction is constantly given in a relaxed, low pressure setting and its so rewarding to celebrate with all the riders at the end when we can all comfortably lope across a pasture! Love the horse first; the sport second.
Cost: $560 for 8 weeks
Total time : 1.25 hrs
Must have your own helmet, wear long pants, riding/cowboy boots and appropriate layers for the weather.

Other important information:
- The bunkhouse has a bathroom, kitchenette and a small lounge.
- There are pre-packaged granola bars and chips on site at minimal cost if kids get hangry.
- Staff are certified in standard first aid and CPR.
- Please don’t feed the animals treats without permission.
- This is a real working ranch and the Carr family’s home, so there are various hazards such as free range animals and kids, fresh manure deposits that haven’t been picked up yet and ranch equipment at work.
- The owner, Kari, is the horse trainer, program director, toilet bowl cleaner, fence fixer, tractor driver, horse instructor, gardener and a homeschooling mom. She’s a little busy, so if you make a mess, please be considerate and pick up after yourself so she doesn’t have to. Thank you in advance.
